British actor and TV personality Christopher Biggins has been announced as the new celebrity ambassador for Woodford Green's Haven House children's hospice.

Biggins commented 'I was really flattered to be invited to become an ambassador for this amazing charity and of course I said yes. It's my local children's hospice and it does fantastic work in the local community, so I'm really looking to forward to getting even more involved', while Mike Palfreman, Chief Executive of Haven House, said 'Having Christopher as our new celebrity ambassador is wonderful news. He has already done so much to raise the profile of Haven House and it's great to now make the relationship formal'.
